Death By Silver Giveaway!

Jun. 1st, 2013 | 10:30 am

Now that I'm back from Balticon and the book is officially launched — I have two paperback copies of Death By Silver to give away!  Reply in comments to enter, and I will draw for a winner Tuesday, June 4. (Non-US entries are accepted, but may go by slower mail depending on location.  Most places I can get a decent rate that gets it there in decent order, but, sadly, not everywhere.)  Good luck!

Death By Silver Ebooks

May. 30th, 2013 | 07:33 am

Death By Silver is now available as an ebook as well, from a range of sources.  Smashwords has it, you can get it direct from Lethe Press, or you can get it via Bitmenu in PDF or EPub.  It should filter through to Amazon and Barnes and Noble shortly.

Quick Update

May. 29th, 2013 | 07:42 am

Back from Balticon and a very successful book launch - thank you to all the folks who helped, and to the people who turned out for tea and sandwiches!

Death By Silver is now available in paperback! An ebook edition will follow, and I'll post details as soon as I have them.  There will also be a giveaway or two - watch this space!

Also, I have received the galleys for Ouroboros and expect to have them back to Fandemonium by the weekend, so the ebook should be out in a week or so.  Again, I'll post details as soon as I have them.

Balticon Book Launch Tea

May. 13th, 2013 | 06:02 pm

I now have more details on the Balticon book party.  Don Sakers and I will be hosting a book launch tea Sunday evening at 5:30 in Parlor 1041 at the Hunt Valley Inn (the con hotel).  I will be showing off Death By Silver and Steel Blues, and Don will be presenting his new novel The Eighth Succession.  (Classic space opera, with clone paranormal geniuses facing off against a Galactic Empire.)  We’ll have tea, tea sandwiches, cookies, and books to give away, so if you’re going to be at the con, come check us out.

And if you’re not going to make it to Balticon, we’re giving away Steel Blues over on Goodreads.  Sign up here.

Gaylaxicon at Outlantacon

Apr. 28th, 2013 | 11:05 am

If anyone is going to Gaylaxicon at Outlantacon next weekend, Amy Griswold and I will be there to promote Death By Silver, our gay Victorian fantasy-with-murder.  There’s a very nice review just up on Impressions of a Reader, too!  We’ll be talking Stargate as well, and I’ll be doing a Q&A session on Saturday afternoon. Look for us if you’re there — we’d love to chat.

Speaking of conventions, I will also be doing Balticon 47 over Memorial Day weekend.  Don Sakers and I will be hosting a book release tea on Sunday afternoon at 5:30, so if you’re at the con, do plan to stop by!  We’ll have tea and tidbits and brand-new books to show off and give away. More details as the convention gets closer…

Year-End Roundup

Jan. 27th, 2013 | 12:05 pm

Well, this was supposed to be the year-end roundup, but thanks to a bout of bronchitis and the subsequent scrambling to get back into the swing of work, I seem to have missed that milestone.  Still, 2012 was an awfully good year, and 2013 promises to be almost as productive, so it seems worth it to post regardless of the occasion.

Oh, yes, and in the middle of all of this, I moved…  I hope not to repeat that process again anytime soon!

Death By Silver Update

Nov. 17th, 2012 | 03:37 pm

Death By Silver, the gay Victorian mystery with magic that I wrote with Amy Griswold, has been scheduled for release in May, 2013, from Lethe Press!  Cover art and interior design will be by the same team who did the gorgeous work on the Points books, and that just makes the project better.

London, 1883….  Removing a curse from a client's family silver should be all in a day's work for metaphysician Ned Mathey, and if he suspects the client of exaggerating the effects of the curse to support his social aspirations, he expects to be paid well enough that it doesn't matter.  But when his client is found dead, he and consulting detective Julian Lynes are drawn into an investigation that forces them to face their shared past — and to decide whether they can have a shared future.
