Pride Month

Jun. 16th, 2014 | 11:31 am

June is the month of Pride! If you’re missing some of my queer-themed work from Lethe Press, now would be an ideal time to buy it direct from the publisher. Buying direct from Lethe puts the most profit in their coffers (and in mine), and, you know, gives you something good to read into the bargain.
A lot of links!Collapse )

And if you’ve already got all of my books, why not browse around a bit?  Lethe has a lot to offer.

Bonfire Night - A Seasonal Treat from Astreiant

Dec. 27th, 2012 | 03:36 pm

It has been pointed out to me that Point of Knives doesn't actually cover the moment that Nicolas Rathe and Philip Eslingen get together for the first time, which I couldn't help but take as a friendly challenge. Unfortunately, there's just not room enough to wrap this in a proper mystery, so I offer it to you as a seasonal treat instead.

Point of Knives Now In EBook!

Jul. 9th, 2012 | 02:18 pm

Point of Knives is now available as an ebook!  It looks as though all the usual formats are available, too.

(As I pack for a much-anticipated but daunting move, I begin to wish more of my books were in diigital format....)

Point of Knives In "Queering SF"

Jun. 5th, 2012 | 10:06 am

Brit Mandelo has done a lovely post on Point of Knives over on as part of their celebration of Pride Month.  I'm really honored to have been chosen, and I'm so pleased that the things she cites are things we worked hard to make seamlessly part of Astreiant and the world. It's always good to hear that something worked!

Point of Knives Update

May. 29th, 2012 | 06:10 pm

Although Point of Knives was originally scheduled as a July release, it appears that it is going to be available as early as June 5!  You should be able to find it at the usual suspects (though your local indie bookstore may have to do a special order) or direct from Lethe Press. It's always nice when something comes out earlier than expected!

Point of Knives Review!

May. 14th, 2012 | 08:19 am

Point of Knives received a very nice review in Publishers Weekly over the weekend!

To celebrate that, and the upcoming July release, I've got another giveaway: I have two copies of the galleys of Point of Knives, which I'll send to two people who comment here - chosen at random, of course.

There's a little something special about these galleys, too.  At the excellent suggestion of Lethe's editor, Steve Berman, I added one last little bit to the story after the galleys were printed, and I'll include that as well.  So you'll get the galleys plus the sheet with the additional paragraphs - signed, if you'd like.

Comment here if you'd like to participate in the drawing.  I'll choose two names at random Wednesday morning, and post the winners! Good luck!

Point of Knives Cover!

Feb. 11th, 2012 | 11:40 am

Received this in email this morning, and had to share!  This is for the novella that should be out in March from Lethe, the one that takes place between Point of Hopes and Point of Dreams - the one that tells how Nico and Philip got from mutual interest, in Point of Hopes, to sneaking meetings in theater boxes in Point of Dreams....

Cut for size...Collapse )

I'm quite pleased!
